Mher
Head Coach
His philosophy is simple: "You are who you are on the court and off the court." To him, tennis builds resilience, discipline, and character that carry into life.
He began playing at two years old, trained in Australia at the Australian Open Academy, and spent years competing while chasing a professional career. At 19, he moved to the U.S. to pursue that dream. After a career injury at 24, he transitioned into coaching, earned his RSPA certification, and worked across multiple academies. After managing a tennis club for five years, he co-founded 3015 Tennis Academy to create a program built to his standards.
"Every shot tells a story. Discipline and consistency shape the champion behind it."

Oleg has trained with players like Andrey Rublev, Karen Khachanov, and Sloane Stephens, and was influenced by Novak Djokovic. He is RSPA-certified and holds a degree in Sports Psychology.

Alec
Coach
Coach Alec is a passionate tennis coach who believes that mental toughness, fighting for every point, and maintaining a positive mindset are the keys to success in competitive tennis.
Coach Alec started playing tennis when he was 3. Although he practiced on and off, his passion and love for the sport grew quickly. Starting as a doubles player in high school, he quickly rose to become Herbert Hoover High School's No. 1 singles player in less than a year under the guidance of Coach Mher. Coach Alec is dedicated to helping players build confidence, resilience, and the discipline needed to compete at their highest level.
"Great players don't just win points, they learn from every one of them. Stay positive, fight for the next ball, and confidence will follow."
Train With AlecErik
Coach
Erik is a strong believer that discipline is a key pillar of tennis, and without it, everything falls apart. Discipline is what took him from his humble beginnings as a high school varsity player to coaching a high school tennis team.
Erik helps students find themselves in a competitive sport by building the consistency, self-drive, respect, cardio, stamina, and mentality needed to succeed. He focuses on creating unique solutions for each player's unique challenges while helping youth and teens grow both on and off the court.
"Be happy with winning, be happier with trying."

Why Our Coaches Are Different From Other Tennis Instructors in Glendale
Most tennis academies in Glendale and Burbank rotate part-time coaches through a packed schedule — a different face every session, with no shared notes, no shared curriculum, and no real plan for progress. At 30-15 Tennis Academy, we built the opposite: a small, dedicated coaching team that trains every player on the same structured Red → Orange → Green → Yellow → Advanced pathway.
Every coach is hand-selected, certified, and trained on our internal curriculum before they ever step on court — and every one is a former competitive player, not just a teacher. Real tournament experience means better technique correction, sharper match strategy, and the mental-game coaching that only comes from having played under pressure. That's the difference between an instructor who teaches drills and a coach who builds players.
Reviews for Our TennisCoaches
Real feedback from Glendale and Burbank families.
"Mher and Oleg do a great job working with my daughter. She's improved more in 3 months at 3015 than in a full year of park tennis lessons. The structured curriculum is exactly what she needed."
— Monika G.
Glendale
"Professional, structured, and the coaches actually care about each kid's progress. The free trial sold us — we signed up the same day. Best tennis academy in Glendale."
— Vick T.
Burbank
"This is the real deal. My son went from never holding a racket to placing in his first tournament inside 6 months. We drive in from La Crescenta every week — worth it."
— Alex G.
La Crescenta
"As an adult beginner I was nervous about being the worst player in the group. The coaches met me where I was and now I'm hitting full rallies. Highly recommend the Yellow Ball adult track."
— Navya L.
Glendale
"The facility is great, scheduling is easy, and the makeup-class policy is the best I've seen. Worth every dollar."
— Vik L.
Eagle Rock
"Both kids train at 3015 four days a week now. Tournament-ready in less than a year. The closest serious tennis academy to Burbank — we won't go anywhere else."
— Sarah M.

FAQsCoaches
Everything you need to know about our coaching team
Are 30-15 tennis coaches certified?
Yes. Every 30-15 coach holds certifications from one or more of the major coaching bodies (USPTA, PTR, or USTA Coaching). All coaches are also trained internally on the 30-15 Red → Orange → Green → Yellow → Advanced curriculum before they take on members.
Will my child always train with the same coach?
Yes, for consistency. When you enroll, your coach is assigned based on your child's track, age, and goals. Because every coach follows the same curriculum and shares notes, occasional cover sessions don't disrupt progress — but your primary coach stays the same.
Can I request a specific tennis coach?
Absolutely. Some members request a specific coach based on personality fit, specialty (e.g., Erik for advanced drilling, Alec for early-stage juniors), or schedule. Mention your preference when you book your free trial.
Do you offer private tennis lessons with the head coaches?
Yes. Private 1-on-1 lessons with Coach Mher or Coach Oleg are available as a stand-alone option or as an add-on to your monthly membership. Private sessions are the fastest path to fix technique flaws or prep for tournaments.
Are your coaches background-checked?
Yes. All 30-15 coaches working with junior players are background-checked. Our junior program follows USTA Safe Play guidelines.
Do your coaches teach in Burbank as well?
We coach players from Burbank, but our facility is located at School St in Glendale — just 10 minutes from Burbank. Many families drive over from Burbank, La Crescenta, La Cañada, and Eagle Rock for sessions.
Can adults take lessons or are you mostly junior-focused?
We coach players ages 3 through adult. Coach Oleg specializes in adult beginners on the Yellow Ball track, and Coach Mher works with adults on the Intermediate/Advanced track including USTA league prep. Adults are a meaningful part of our membership.
